Deliveroo celebrates Game of Thrones with choccy dragon eggs

Deliveroo is honouring the final season of Game of Thrones with the sale of special chocolate dragon eggs in both Melbourne and Sydney.

Available between 16-18 April via a special restaurant called Dragonstone in Melbourne and Sydney, the hand-painted chocolate Easter eggs will set you back $3 AUD each.

“The hand-crafted and painted eggs weigh in at 880g and measure 20 cm in height (huge even by Westeros standards),” Deliveroo said in a press release (at the same time pointing out the promotion wasn’t sponsored by HBO or Game of Thrones itself). “Even if you’re not the ‘Mother of Dragons,’ you still have the opportunity for last-minute egg shopping to not be a drag(on).”

“With the final series of our favourite blood-soaked drama, we see no better way than celebrating it for Easter,” added Deliveroo Australia General Manager, Levi Aron. “Season premieres always see a spike in orders, and we have loved using the opportunity to show appreciation for those hardcore fans.”

Game of Thronesfinal season debuted today; the show’s available on Foxtel here in Australia. If you’d like, you can also celebrate the occasion with special whiskeys.
