A great debate can now be put to rest, folks: the DualShock has a Cross button and not an X button, Sony has confirmed.
In the same vein, it’s not an O or a 0 button either — it’s a Circle.
“Triangle. Circle. Cross. Square,” PlayStation UK said in a tweet. “If Cross is called X (it’s not), then what are you calling Circle?”
The tweet’s obviously tongue-in-cheek and prompted a host of similarly hilarously responses from Twitter users around the world.

Okay I know it's your console and I can't tell you what to call it… but it's the X button.

I won't point out that the cafe in the London office is called XpressO Cafe….

Even Xbox’s Graeme ‘AceyBongos’ Boyd got in on the fun.
Cross-cited to see how this tweet works out for you 😃

Be honest now gamers: what do you call the button? Is it an X or is it a Cross?
