Dino Crisis PS1 Classic looks likely on PS4, PS5, PlayStation Plus

Yes please!

PS1 classic Dino Crisis looks set to become a bona fide PS1 Classic, playable on PS4 and PS5 through a separate purchase or a PlayStation Plus subscription.

Dino Crisis protagonist Regina is currently front and centre of a promotion on the PlayStation Store Hong Kong, with text that reads, “Classics Catalogue” emblazoned across the ad tile.

Neither Sony nor Capcom have confirmed the availability of the title as yet, but we’re as hopeful as fans are.

As we’ve recently discovered, PS1 Classics are of course available through appropriate PlayStation Plus tiers but can also be purchased outright if you’d rather own them. Those that have purchased past PS1 Classics on PS3 or Vita — like Resident Evil or Resident Evil 2 as examples — should gain immediate access to those titles once they become (re-)available on PS4 and PS5.

full listing of PlayStation Plus games available to Deluxe and Extra subscribers was made available yesterday. At the same time, users discovered that PS3 games won’t support DLC or add-ons, and that first-party PS1 Classics are being delivered in PAL format only.

The new, tiered PlayStation Plus system will be available in Australia from 22 June.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. In the meantime, are you pumped for the (quasi) return of Dino Crisis?
