Devil May Cry 5 PS4 patch removes partial nudity censorship

Devil May Cry 5 PS4 patch has removed partial nudity censorship from a single scene viewable by audiences in North America.

DMC5 patch 1.07 has made it so PS4 fans in North America can see a bit of heroine Trish’s butt, overriding a previous patch that covered up said posterior with a fancy, anime-like lens flare. European versions of the game on PS4 still feature said lens flare; this likely means Australian copies still feature the censorship.

Curiously enough, the previous patch wasn’t applied to any western versions on Windows PC or Xbox One; players on those platforms can still look at butt. If they want. We guess. At any rate, if you’re super keen on checking out what the scene looks like with and without lens flare, we’ve got it for you below.

Devil May Cry 5 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Its free new DLC, Bloody Palace, is also available now.
