Destiny update 1.2.0 delayed, being investigated by Bungie due to “late-breaking technical issue”

Destiny’s latest update, which would have been applied in preparation of “The House of Wolves” expansion has been delayed due to technical issues.

Bungie first took to Twitter to announce the delay with a further explanation being posted on the Destiny forums. Community Manager David ‘DeeJ’ Dague wrote “I’ve spoken with the finest minds at Bungie about Update 1.2.0 just moments ago. They’re working to correct a late-breaking technical issue that would have impacted the way the game launches for a large portion of you. Progress is being made.”

Dague said that as soon as information regarding the deployment of the update becomes available it will be shared with fans and players. He also promised to update the community at least “once a day.”

“House of Wolves” launches 19 May.

Destiny is available now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
