Destiny 2 Year 4 will feature year-long seasonal quests

Destiny 2 Year 4 seasonal quests will last all year long, Bungie has confirmed in a recent update. That means events like the questline to save Saint-14 wouldn’t disappear from the game almost as soon as it was introduced, giving players a better chance to engage with it.

Using the recent Season of Dawn as an example, questlines like the one involving rescuing Saint-14 and Exotic quests to acquire Devil’s Ruin and Bastion would remain in-game for a full year, though Osiris and his Obelisks would be removed from the game. With that latter removal, the Fractaline currency would also be depreciated. Most importantly, though, seasonal rewards tied to the Obelisks would still be able to earned year-long.

“To summarize, we’re going to move toward Seasons that can be experienced all year. The Destiny experience should grow each year after an expansion, have a meaningful evolving world, and a bunch of reasons to play. And then each year, we should take a step forward into a new expansion,” Bungie’s Evan Nikolich explained.

Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Stadia where available. The Guardian Games event is on now (and doesn’t last for a year!).
