Destiny 2 Final Shape brings new Prismatic subclass, enemy faction, Exotics

Lots coming.

The Destiny 2 Final Shape expansion will bring with it a new Prismatic subclass, a new enemy faction, new Exotics, and more when it finally launches on 4 June.

“Alongside the three new Light Supers previously announced, Guardians will wield the Light and Darkness together for the first time to unleash the Prismatic subclass,” reads a press release. “This subclass introduces new options to enhance and customize each playstyle with the combination of multiple element types.”

The new subclass joins previously announced Light Supers that include the Twilight Arsenal for Titans, Storm’s Edge for Hunters, and Song of Flame for Warlocks.

A new enemy faction called the Dread will also feature in the expansion, and include Grim, Husk, Attendant and Weaver units. The Grim is described as fast and able to suppress Guardian abilities, the Husk an acrobatic melee bruiser, while the Attendant and Weaver weird Stasis and Strand abilities.

“Players will be able to equip an Exotic class item, meaning Hunter’s cloaks, Titan’s marks, and Warlock’s bonds will have Exotic-level perks for the first time,” Bungie continued. “These perks will be randomized, taking two features from existing Exotic class items (even some belonging to other classes) to enhance the Guardian’s ability to customize their gameplay.”

Destiny 2 The Final Shape heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5 on 4 June. In the meantime, an event called Into the Light runs for two full months.
