Dark Souls 2’s “Crown of the Ivory King” delayed by a week

Dark Souls 2’s third and final piece of content in the “Lost Crowns Trilogy” — “Crown of the Ivory King” — has been delayed by a week Bandai Namco Europe announced today.

Originally due for release 24 September, the DLC will now be available to download from 30 September for PC (Steam) and Xbox 360 and 1 October for PS3. Joystiq contacted Bandai Namco and were given developer From Software’s statement regarding the delay. “The [sheer] scope of “Crown of the Ivory King” facilitated the need for a bit more time to deliver to level of polish that the previous two chapters of “The Lost Crowns Trilogy” embodied. It is From Software’s intent to only release “Crown of the Ivory King” with the highest level of quality possible.”

“Crown of the Ivory King” is part of the “Lost Crowns Trilogy” with each chapter available separately or as part of of the Dark Souls 2 Season Pass.

Dark Souls 2 is available now for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
