Crash Team Rumble support ends as Toys for Bob goes indie

After just nine months, too...

Just nine months after its launch, Toys for Bob will end support for Crash Team Rumble as a result of its split from Activision Blizzard.

An in-game update has revealed that the final update for the title will be released later today, with Toys for Bob also confirming that servers will remain on indefinitely. The title’s 500-tier Battle Pass will be made available for free, and microtransactions disabled, as a result of the news.

Season 3 of Crash Team Rumble, which added Spyro the Dragon as a playable character, will be the title’s last.

Last week, Toys for Bob announced it was going independent, adding, “we’re in the early days of developing our next new game and a ways away from making any announcements”. It also hasn’t ruled out a potential partnership with former parent owner Microsoft.

Crash Team Rumble was released on 20 June 2023 and made available on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. It was priced at $44.95 AUD at the time of launch.
