Crackdown now backwards compatible, other titles get X Enhanced

Crackdown is the latest title to be backwards compatible on Xbox One, at the same time a number of additional titles are now Xbox One X Enhanced.

The titles that now support Xbox One X enhancements are as follows:

  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Crackdown
  • Fable Anniversary
  • Fallout 3
  • Forza Horizon
  • Gears of War 3
  • Halo 3
  • Mirror’s Edge
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Skate 3
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

“When you play Enhanced Xbox 360 games on Xbox One X, you can now choose how to experience them—with enhanced graphics or in their original form,” Microsoft said of the enhancement process. “Enhanced graphics will be turned on by default, running your game with higher resolution, 9X the pixel count, increased texture details and antialiasing, allowing you to enjoy greater visual clarity than ever before.”

To get into Xbox One X settings, hit both the View and Menu buttons (the ones between the Xbox logo/Guide button), then navigate to Settings and finally Xbox One X Settings. There, you can select either “Graphics” or “Performance”.
