Call of Duty Black Ops 4 likely to use Blizzard’s Battle.net

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 looks set to use Blizzard’s Battle.net service on PC.

The Call of Duty website now allows users to link their Battle.net accounts. Previously, this action was only available via Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and Steam.

It’s hardly surprising; Activision’s Destiny 2 was the first PC title to use Blizzard’s robust PC service. It looks like more and more Activision titles will continue the trend.

Destiny 2 is exclusive to Battle.net on PC and not available via Steam; it’s highly unlikely that the same will be true for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Either way, we’ll keep you posted.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was announced today and heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 17 May.
