Detailing Destiny’s final live event, Age of Triumph, developer Bungie also confirmed it would support the title “for the foreseeable future.”
Though Bungie is hard at work on a sequel, Destiny 2, Bungie’s David ‘DeeJ’ Dague said they won’t forget about the original.
“Destiny 1 will still be there. So if somebody wants to have a throwback night and go back and revisit the things that they loved about Destiny, they can,” DeeJ said.
The original title will also remain in place “if a new player were to discover this franchise [with Destiny 2] and say, ‘I have fallen in love with the world and I want to fully understand where it all began,'” he continued.
Age of Triumph kicks off in April, revitalising all Raids and giving players a chance to relive past victories ahead of Destiny 2.
Destiny is available on Xbox One and PS4.
