Big-budget sequel to Control coming, published by 505 Games

Expect more detail in the future.

A big-budget sequel to Control was today announced by developer Remedy and publisher 505 Games.

As part of an investor statement detailing a new, four-player PvE spin-off codenamed Project Condor, Remedy also let slip news of a proper sequel.

“In addition, 505 Games and Remedy Entertainment have outlined high-level collaboration terms to further expand the Control franchise with a bigger-budget Control-game, to be agreed in more detail in the future,” the statement reads.

“We have successfully collaborated with 505 Games for over four years and have both become stronger in our respective fields,” added Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy Entertainment.

“We are happy to extend and deepen our partnership. This new agreement supports Remedy’s aims to expand our games into long-term franchises, create benchmark-setting games, strengthen our commercial capabilities and collaborate with great partners with whom we can succeed together.”

We’ll have news on Control‘s sequel and Project Condor as it becomes available.

Control is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
