Avowed gameplay was today shown off at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase, with Obsidian Entertainment also confirming a 2024 launch window.
“Expanding the universe that we created for the original Pillars of Eternity games, Avowed brings a new perspective, a new way to fight, and a new land to explore in the world of Eora,” said Obsidian’s Feargus Urquhart.
“The Pillars games are near and dear to us and we can’t wait to share Avowed with everyone next year.”

“Explore the Living Lands, a mysterious island filled with adventure and danger,” the gameplay trailer’s description reads. “As an envoy of Aedyr, you are sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague with a secret that threatens to destroy everything. Can you save the island and your soul from the forces threatening to tear them apart?”
Expect Avowed in 2024 on Windows PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
