Avengers finally adds Spider-Man (to PlayStation) on 30 November

Is anyone excited?

Avengers will finally add Spider-Man to its roster on PlayStation from 30 November, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have today confirmed.

Spider-Man will be joined by a new Raid, reworked XP systems (certainly as a result of recent community backlash), a new enemy type, new earnable cosmetics and more on that same day.

The iconic web slinger will be the focal point of Avengers‘ new Spider-Man: With Great Power Hero Event, one that lets players “experience Spider-Man’s story through unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative.”

“Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable,” Crystal Dynamics said of the content.

“He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?”

Avengers is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia. It’s also part of Xbox Game Pass.
