The AFL Evolution “Season Pack 2018” DLC will be released on 3 May 2018, developer Wicked Witch Software announced today in conjunction with publisher Tru Blu Entertainment and the AFL.
Like the base game two years ago, the 2018 update will miss the start of the season and instead launch at the commencement of Round 7.
The date was confirmed on Facebook, but none of the involved parties have confirmed what the DLC includes. Based on last-generation games, we expect updated fixtures, squads, player ratings and guernseys. Probably the pointlessly updated club songs, too.
As well as the DLC for existing owners, a new retail version will be released featuring the 2018 updates.
That said, a quick comparison of the game’s Steam Achievements suggests that nine additional console Achievements could be attached to the DLC. They’re as follows:
- North Eastern Champion
- South Australian Champion
- Start Of Something Big
- New Surroundings
- A Living Legend
- But Wait There Is More
- What Game Are We Playing Again
- West Australian Champion
- One Woman Army
We’ll report back as more is known.
