AbleGamers announces 2015’s Accessible Games of the Year

AbleGamers recently announced the winners of this year’s ‘Accessible Game of the Year’ awards: Psyonix’s Rocket League and SCEA San Diego Studio’s MLB: The Show.

Rocket League demonstrated exemplary design process and progressive thinking in ways of handling a traditionally inaccessible genre,” AbleGamers said of the title. “From visual cues to colorblind-friendly color schemes to accessibility options allowing a gamer to drive with only the mouse, Psyonix made us proud.”

Meanwhile, MLB: The Show, “has come up year after year as an annual favorite of the AbleGamers staff,” the public charity declared. “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride, MLB: The Show was narrowly edged out for the last three consecutive years. 2015 proved to be the year of baseball with innovative options, smart design choices, and accessible settings that make a traditional sports game easier to play for almost any gamer with disabilities.”
