Coronavirus-busting freebies: Use these trials while self-isolating

Self-isolation is very important when it comes to fighting back against the coronavirus, COVID-19, a series of subscription services and apps are offering free and easy ways to do just that.

Here are some of the best offers we’ve found so far — and we’ll update this list as we find more.

ComiXology Unlimited: Free 60-day trial

US only: Amazon’s ComiXology reader has extended its usual 30-day free trial to a 60-day one, offering access to comic books from Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image and many more publishers.

To take advantage of the trial, head here. Keep in mind you’ll need to cancel ahead of the trial period or be changed $5.99 USD/month once that’s lapsed.

Kindle Unlimited: Free 1- or 2-month trial

In the same vein, Kindle Unlimited is offering a free 1-month trial (at least in Australia), providing access to a library of over 1 million Kindle eBooks and 20,000 digital comics. The service appears to be offering a free 2-month trial in the USA as well.

In the same vein as Amazon’s ComiXology, you’ll need to cancel the trial before it ends or else be charged $13.99 AUD/month to continue. If you’re okay with that, sign up here.

Free kids videos on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon has confirmed it will provide access to select kids’ content normally paywalled behind Amazon Prime Video for free. The titles available for free include such shows as If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Pete the Cat, Arthur, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and more. The offer is worldwide, though access to select shows may change per region.

You’ll need to login to Amazon Prime Video with your Amazon account to access the shows — but at least you don’t have to pay for ’em.

Apple Arcade: Free 1-month trial

Apple Arcade is also offering a 1-month free trial to those who haven’t used it before. The service provides access to a number of challenging and polished video games across iOS and Mac devices. Do so here.

You’ll need to cancel the trial before the end of the month, and be aware that if you cancel the trial, it ends regardless of time remaining.

Adidas Training: Free 3-month Premium Access

Adidas is offering 3-months of Premium Access to the Adidas Training app to those who’ve used its Runtastic app. The code offered to this writer in an email seems to work for anyone who tries to use it… so use away.

The app in question offers a library of over 260 home workouts in various languages and catering to atheletes of all levels. Enjoy!

WWE Network: Free streaming of a number of programs

The WWE Network will offer the ability to stream a number of programs for free. Confirmed free programs include every WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series event, NXT TakeOver and NXT UK TakeOver, alongside recent episodes of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown and more. The upcoming Wrestlemania is not included in the offer. (Thanks, Andy!)

CBS All Access: Free 1-month trial

USA only: Timed for the season finale of Star Trek: Picard, CBS All Access will offer a free 1-month trial. Perfect to catch up on the entire season, eh?

You can use code ALL or GIFT at this page to redeem.

Ten All Access: Free 1-month trial

Australia only: CBS owns Channel Ten here in Australia, and the Ten All Access service is also offering a 1-month trial to new members. Star Trek: Picard isn’t available on this service, but shows like Survivor are.

Head here to redeem.
