Achievement hunters will have a fun time with Moving Out 2, accessing improved features like easier tracking alongside some head-scratching puzzlers.
Ashley Ringrose detailed SMG Studio’s thoughts on designing Achievements in a chat with Stevivor ahead of the sequel’s launch.
“We do factor that in,” Ringrose said, refering to Achievement design. “It’s like, ‘how far are we taking it? Are we taking the piss here?’
“There’s one [Achievement] right at the end called ‘Don’t get off the train’ and we left that purposely ambiguous because there’s multiple trains.”
That said, you won’t need to channel your inner Sherlock Holmes for others.
“We did make some of [the Achievements] simpler,” Ringrose continued. “We also tuned them; [the first Moving Out] had one to sit on every toilet in the first game.
“The problem we had was we didn’t indicate which toilets had been sat on. So we wanted to make sure it’s easier for people to kind of check [stuff like that] off rather than go through every single toilet again.”
All up, Moving Out 2 has 28 Achievements totaling 1,000 Gamerscore — and this time around, none of the Achievements offer up Gamerscore-breaking totals. Hurrah!
