Stevivor GOTY 2021: Best Sports or Racing

Forza Horizon 5.

We thought we’d be free of the pandemic in 2021… and how wrong we were. Thankfully, some things never change — Stevivor’s Game of the Year awards are back and as reliable as ever.

We’re kicking off this year’s awards program with Best Sports or Racing honours, and that prize goes to Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5.

“Overall, this is a Forza Horizon game in every sense of the word, and shows off the best of what Horizon can be,” Alice wrote in her 10/10 review. “It’s fun, only structured if you want it to be, and seems to exist purely to make sure you have a good time. What more could you want?”

Stevivor’s GOTY 2021 runs straight through until the end of the year — you can check out a schedule below.

Congratulations to Playground and Microsoft for the win!

About the author

Steve Wright

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
