At Microsoft’s press conference a brand new Xbox exclusive franchise was announced; titled Recore.
A brief pre-rendered trailer was shown featuring a female protagonist, robot puppy companion and larger robot companion that was de-activated. The world was a wasteland and after defeating an enemy, the protagonist recovered an orb and inserted it into the larger robot, reactivating it.
Recore is in development at Comcept and Armature. Comcept is the developer behind Mighty No. 9and headed up by Keiji Infafune, creator of Mega Man. Armature is made of former Retro Studios devs, creators of Metroid Prime.
It will be available exclusive for Xbox One in Autumn 2016.
