The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the official name of what was once known as Breath of the Wild 2 and will head to Switch on 12 May 2023.
Nintendo made the two announcements — that’s its name and release date — during last night’s Nintendo Direct.
“In addition to the vast lands of Hyrule, the latest entry in the storied Legend of Zelda series will take you up into the skies,” Nintendo said as part of the announcement, which also included a new trailer.
Players can expect The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom from 12 May 2023 on Nintendo Switch. We’ll of course keep you updated as we continue to learn more about the highly anticipated sequel.
