Women’s Football heads to AFL Evolution

The AFL and Wicked Witch Software have again used Fox Footy to reveal a new feature in AFL Evolution: Women’s Football (AFLW).

Fox Footy shared several screenshots alongside a close-up from player Darcy Vescio.

Despite shots that are rough around the edges — fans have pointed out the ‘phantom leg’ in the topmost photo, alongside Darcy’s hair at her ear — most are (rightfully) excited about the AFLW’s inclusion.

Select player and team ratings were also shared. The Adelaide Crows’ Erin Phillips has been set at 75, though nine players share the highest rating or 84: Chelsea Randall, Sabrina Frederick-Traub, Tayla Harris, Brianna Davey, Darcy Vescio, Moana Hope, Daisy Pearce, Katie Brennan and Aasta O’Connor.

In terms of teams, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs are highest at 74, while the GWS Giants are last on the ladder at 71.

The AFLW joins the men’s competition in AFL Evolution, set to release on Xbox One and PS4 from 5 May.
