Who Wants to be a Millionaire?: Special Edition announces Star Trek DLC

Who Wants to be a Millionaire?: Special Edition kinda slipped by our radar, but this new piece of DLC sure didn’t. Coming soon: the Star Trek special edition of the title.

Here’s the press release from developer Deep Silver:

The Star Trek: The Original Series – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Special Edition features the authentic look & feel of the popular science-fiction television series, as well as 600 questions based on the classic Star Trek universe. The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? studio is set aboard a Constitution-class starship bridge; the host, audience, lifelines and contestants are all themed around the original Star Trek series. Players can choose from four avatars – Lt. Uhura, a Vulcan officer, a human cadet and an Orion slavegirl. The Phone-A-Friend lifeline also features eight characters from this iconic science-fiction universe.

The new DLC will act like the recent South Park DLC for the downloadable game; the original Millionaire set will be replaced in this instance by the set of the U.S.S. Enterprise bridge. You’ll also be able to choose between a few avatars, including Uhura, a Vulcan Starfleet officer and an Orion Slave Girl.

The Star Trek version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Special Edition will be available in February 2012 on Xbox Live, with pricing yet to be announced.
