Ubisoft has advised PC users that they “may experience long delays when trying to login” to Uplay servers to play Watch_Dogs due to “issues with the authentication services.”
It appears that the large number of new players attempting to connect and play Watch_Dogs overwhelmed the authentication system and as Kotaku reports it’s left some players with incomplete downloads, crashes, unrecoverable errors and even the inability to log in to Uplay at all.
We are experiencing issues with the authentication services. Players may experience long delays when trying to login in-game. More to come.

Ubisoft is aware of the issues and is working on a fix, however it has not given a timeframe for when normal play is expected to resume.
Watch_Dogs is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
