Watch: Matt Stone and Trey Parker on translating South Park’s “authentic crappiness” to a game

A new-behind-the-scenes video for South Park:  The Stick of Truth has been released and goes into detail how Obsidian became involved with the project and just how much effort has been spent in ensuring the game looks and feels just like the show.

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker talk about how they didn’t think consoles were capable of recreating the show until the PS3 and Xbox 360 were released. Stone describes making a video game as “a humbling experience” and explains that to make the game look right there’s a “authentic crappiness” they had to get just right. Check out the video below, but be warned, there’s some NSFW language included within.

Did you catch a glimpse of Randy at the very end of the video? Looks like that’s what’ll be censored in the Australian version.

South Park: The Stick of Truth will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 6 March 2014.
