Vader Immortal PSVR release set for 25 August

Update: All three episodes of Vader Immortal will be available from PS VR on 25 August, Sony and ILMxLAB today confirmed.

Original story [May 2020]: Vader Immortal, the VR game in which you get to live out your Sith Lord fantasy, heads to PlayStation VR (PSVR) later this year.

The news today comes from developer ILMxLAB, who has already released Vader Immortal on Windows PC for Oculus devices.

“One of our first meetings began with a whiteboard. We listed out everything that we thought fans (and ourselves!) would most want to experience, if they were inside the Star Wars galaxy. Wielding a lightsaber was right there at the top of that list, but we knew that if we were going to do that, we had to do it right,” ILMxLAB’s Mark S. Miller wrote on the PlayStation Blog.

“We went through many different mechanics, both in-house and with our partners at Ninja Theory, before we got to the point where you really felt like you were parrying a blow, slicing through metal, or blocking blaster fire. We continually tested and tweaked the feedback until we got it right.”

The Vader Immortal PSVR release will come with all three episodes and all available Lightsaber Dojos. The title is available now on Windows PC devices with Oculus and head to PS4 and PSVR later this year.
