In an interview with GameInformer, Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells revealed that he’d asked the team of Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley to take over as leads on Uncharted 4.
Druckmann was Creative Director and Straley was Game Director on The Last of Us and the pair were also Project Leads on Uncharted 2. Wells asked the duo to take over following the departure of writer Amy Hennig, Art Director Justin Richmond, Lead Character Artist Michael Knowland and the recasting of Todd Stashwick, who provided the voiceover for the reveal trailer.
Wells said of Druckmann and Straley, “They are excited as veterans of the Uncharted franchise to take the responsibility and they’re doing great.” While details remain scant regarding the next installment in the franchise we’re fairly confident that we’ll see something at E3 next week.
