Ubisoft’s For Honor, Ghost Recon: Wildlands are a ways off

Don’t expect Ubisoft’s For Honor or Ghost Recon: Wildlands for at least a year or so.

Ubisoft CFO Alain Martinez used an investors call (via VideoGamer) to explain that “for the line-up of fiscal year 17, we didn’t comment about For Honor and Ghost Recon whether it’s going to be next year or not. We will do that when we have more visibility.”

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot further explained that “visibility” would be obtained after this current financial year, meaning we won’t see the games until April 2016 at the earliest.

“Ghost Recon is one of the most renowned shooter franchises and has a strong base of core fans,” Guillemot asserted. “With the new open world setting, we believe we have significantly broadened the franchise potential. It bodes very well for our future and we are [inaudible] happy to put Ghost Recon: Wildlands on such a great trajectory.”

We’ll of course keep you in the loop with release dates as soon as they’re made available.

We previewed For Honor at this year’s E3.
