Stream On is a new Twitch reality show that will put streamer against streamer.
Streamers from the US, Canada and the UK are able to take part, fighting one another for a $60,000 USD grand prize. The show itself will resemble the likes of American Idol, with contestants facing challenges that are “designed to test important streamer skills, and be evaluated by a panel of Twitch judges,” the streaming service declared.
Partnered Twitch streamers from the US, Canada and the UK who are 18 years of age or older are able to register for the chance to participate. Sorry Aussies — we’re on the sidelines for this one.
Twitch said that Stream On will cater to streamers who “are right on the cusp of making streaming full-time a possibility.
“Streamers who are below the threshold of partnership might not benefit much from participating, and would be at a disadvantage in challenges” — bit of a chicken and the egg situation there, eh?
Stream On is set to debut in March 2018.
