Twitch Plays Dark Souls finishes with a total of 904 deaths

Twitch Plays, the community that plays games together as a hive mind, has completed the notoriously difficult Dark Souls.

Suffering a total of 904 deaths on the way to victory, Gwyn was defeated and the Dark Lord ending was selected by the collective group of players. Initially, the same democracy vs anarchy system used to beat Pokemon was put in place, but after struggling to even move beyond the title’s first area after 90-hours, a change was made to turn-based system.

The game would pause to tally player votes and then proceed based on whichever vote won. You can watch Twitch Plays defeat Gwyn in the video below.

Dark Souls is available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
