A Tomb Raider film sequel is in the works

A sequel to Alicia Vikander’s Tomb Raider has officially been announced.

The news of the sequel comes by way of Deadline, which reported that MGM and Warner Bros. have appointed Amy Jump to write the script for the film. Jump has previously written High-Rise starring Tom Hiddleston and co-wrote Free Fire starring Brie Larson and Armie Hammer.

The first of this new Tomb Raider film franchise was directed by Roar Uthaug and grossed $274 million USD worldwide. GK Films will produce this sequel.

We’ll have more on the Tomb Raider sequel as its made available. In Australia, the Vikander-led Tomb Raider can be livestreamed on Stan. The newest game in the long-running franchise is Shadow of the Tomb Raider, available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
