Titanfall’s next update introduces a Pilot only mode

Respawn has announced Titanfall game update six which will introduce a new game mode that dispenses with all AI and Titans.

Pilot Skirmish is an 8 vs 8 mode between Pilots only. Due to the nature of the mode and increased player count, Respawn announced that it won’t be part of the Variety Pack playlist. The update also makes Marked for Death mode permanent as the overwhelming popularity of the mode caused Respawn to reconsider swapping it out, “we were planning to rotate it out for another mode after a couple of weeks, but the enduring popularity of the mode convinced us to bring it on full-time.”

Near and dear to my own heart are the new colourblind modes coming with update six. Three options will be added for protanopia, deuteranopia, and tritanopia which will alter the display of crosshair colours, player names and IFF glows.

Other minor changes include the ability to purchase limited, singular Burn Cards and no penalty for joining a game late. A full list of changes, tweaks and bug fixes is available on Respawn’s website.

Respawn has said it doesn’t have a release date to share for game update six at this stage.

Titanfall is available now for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
