This great tabletop game bundle supports trans rights in Texas

493 games for as low as $5 USD.

A fantastic new tabletop RPG bundle called “TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Texas!” does just that: gathers a whopping 493 tabletop titles together in an effort to raise funds for organisations supporting transgender rights in the US state of Texas.

Texas is on a crusade against transgender children at present, passing a bill in late 2021 that banned trans students from competing in sports consistent with their own gender identity. In February of this year, Governor Abbott instructed the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to begin investigating reports of parents providing gender-affirming care to their children as acts of child abuse.

“In response to Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Attorney General Office’s transphobic declarations, we have brought together all of these games in support of trans rights,” the bundle’s description begins.

“Trans children are extremely vulnerable, and the actions of the Texas government will put them and any supportive loved ones in danger. Providing funds to trans advocacy groups and support networks helps keep trans folx afloat in Texas.”

The bundle of 493 titles can be purchased for as low as $5 USD (approximately $7 AUD), though you can choose to donate additional money to the cause. Proceeds from the bundle are split between two organisations: the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) and the Organización Latina de Trans en Texas (OLTT).

“TENT supports gender diverse equality in Texas through educational efforts on an individual, community, corporate, and legislative level. They also provide emergency relief fund grants to trans people in need,” the bundle proclaims.

“Organización Latina de Trans en Texas is a trans-centered, trans-run nonprofit that focuses on creating safe spaces for trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex Texans,” it continues. “They provide shelter space, both long and short term residences, gender and name change legal aid, and other community building services for trans people.”
