Take your first look at Robin from the live action Titans TV show

Warner Bros. has released the first image of Robin from its live action Titans television show.

Take a good look at Dick Grayson, as played by Aussie actor Brenton Thwaites, above. The costume seems to be styled more like Tim Drake’s original Robin costume, though the New 52 version of Grayson also ditched green tighty-whities for sensible pants as well.

The costume was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, who’s previously worked on designs for Black Lightning, Iron Man, The Jungle Book and more.

Thwaites will be joined by the likes of Anna Diop as Starfire, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove.

Titans will air alongside Young Justice Season 3 in 2018 as part of a new DC Comics streaming service. It’s made by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions (Supergirl, Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow).

Titans is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe,” the show’s synopsis reads. “In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.”

What do you make of Thwaites as Robin?
