Summer Game Fest Nintendo Direct coming overnight

Mark those calendars... and be prepared to stay up late.

A Summer Game Fest-timed Nintendo Direct will take place overnight, Nintendo has confirmed… overnight.

Australians will be able to view the livestream from 9 or 10 June, depending on their timezone; here in Melbourne (AEST), the Nintendo Direct kicks off at 12.00 am midnight on 10 June. You can check your own timezone here.

The Direct will cover both Switch and Switch 2 games — we’re thinking Star Fox and the likes of Rhythm Paradise Groove amongst others — and will last for approximately 50 minutes.

The livestream is embedded above in case you’d like to watch — though we’ll have all the big news from the event tomorrow morning when you wake up. Your call.

In the meantime, what do you hope to see from this Nintendo Direct? Sound off in the comments area, below.
