Star Wars Battlefront fills the download time with a Darth Vader mini-game

Star Wars Battlefront officially releases next week but if you’re an EA Access member then you’ll already be pew-pewing your way across the galaxy.

EA Access is a digital only affair, meaning you have to download all 20GB of the game yourself. That takes quite a lot of time for the majority of us on Australian internet but luckily Dice have thought ahead. Once your download hit’s around 20% you’ll have the option to start a mini-game as Darth Vader, the only objective of which is to slay hordes of Rebel scum.

It functions fantastically as a tutorial for how to use the heroes and even for the whole game itself. You’re also invulnerable so you can test all of your force powers and lightsaber techniques without fear of death.

Star Wars Battlefront launches 19 November on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
