Star Trek movies heading to Stan thanks to deal with Paramount

Some or all of Paramount’s Star Trek movies will head to Aussie streaming service Stan within “the coming month,” Stan recently confirmed.

The availability is part of a larger deal between Stan and Paramount that will see a number of franchises go live on the streaming service. Stan advised it has secured “exclusive rights in Australia to a broad selection of Paramount’s top outstanding new television series and blockbuster films.”

In addition to Star Trek movies — don’t forget that all Star Trek TV series were previously CBS-owned properties currently available on Netflix — the Mission: Impossible and Transformers movies will also be available alongside classics like Top Gun and The Godfather Trilogy.

In the TV department, Looking for Alaska will premiere on Stan from 19 October and will be joined by Made for Love, Station Eleven, Sexy Beast and others when they’re available.

We’ll let you know when the Paramount content is up and avaiable for consumption. While you wait, a small selection of Star Trek films are also available on Amazon Prime Video.
