Star Citizen makes good on stars with single player cast announcement

Star Citizen makes news every other week for how much money is being poured into the game through crowd funding and now we are seeing those big dollars being put to use. At the unfortunately named CitizenCon RSI has announced the cast of their single player campaign Squadron 42, featuring the voice, likeness and performance capture of Gary Oldman, Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson and Andy Serkis among others.

You can see the full cast over at the RSI website, with only Oldman’s role as Admiral Ernest Bishop revealed. It is certainly in line with the ambition of Star Citizen, a game that has grown in scope exponentially since it began as one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever.

The first episode of Squadron 42 is tentatively set for release in 2016 on PC.
