Square Enix’s Japanese streaming service shutting down next month

Square Enix announced that it will prematurely shut down its game streaming service, Dive In, in September.

The service — which is only available in Japan — was launched in October 2014 and allowed players to stream a range of titles after paying for a subscription. Those who paid for a year’s subscription will be reimbursed the full amount regardless of how many days are remaining on their account.

Those eligible for a refund will be contacted by Square Enix and payments should start going out to customers by the end of August. The service will be shut down on 13 September.
