Unless its logo is lying?
The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie has been confirmed and sports a new logo that features Miles ‘Tails’ Prower and his two tails.
Today’s title announcement came with a short teaser trailer (below), which shows off the new logo alongside the film’s premiere date: 8 April 2022.
“Groundbreaking. Thought provoking. Extremely obvious. Presenting the official title of the Sonic Movie sequel: Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” Paramount Pictures said alongside the news.
It’s unclear who has been cast as Tails as yet, but the original Sonic the Hedgehog‘s Ben Schwartz will return as Sonic, as will feature film writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 heads to theatres on 8 April 2022.
