Sherlock Holmes is going open world with The Devil’s Daughter

Bigben Interactive has announced a sequel to the surprisingly good Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, titled Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, coming in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Featuring five new cases and an “expansive landscape of playable terrain” that sounds suspiciously like an open world, Holmes will also have to “maneuver fast-paced action sequences” and have his stoic logic tested by family, emotion and the occult. All of that sounds very unlike Sherlock Holmes but we’ll see what they can do with it and whether it takes the focus away from getting to the bottom of crimes using logic and deduction.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter will arrive in 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
