Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn reaches crowd funding goal

The IndieGoGo crowd funding campaign for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn has drawn to a close with $473,884 USD raised. The campaign was seeking $450,000 for a PC only release with a stretch goal of $775,000 set for console ports to PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. However, the campaign was recently updated and the game will now released across all platforms having reached the $450,000 goal.

The project was first announced in March 2014 and is described as featuring a beat ’em up style of gameplay described as a mix of Streets of Rage, Street Fighter and Devil May Cry. The developer — Big Deez Productions — includes staff members who’ve worked on Alan Wake, Halo, Killzone and more. Big Deez says to expect hundreds of moves, dozens of melee weapons, a co-op mode and a story mode featuring the mysterious Black Star Ninja.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
