Sega to delist separate Sonic Origins games before launch

Yuck.

Sega will delist individual Sonic Origins titles from digital stores ahead of the launch of the upcoming bundle, the publisher has today declared.

That means players will not be able to purchase Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic CD or Sonic and Knuckles without buying the lot inside Sonic Origins.

The delistings will take place on 20 May, just a month before the release of Sonic Origins on 30 June.

Sega hasn’t detailed the reasons why the delistings will occur, but we bet you can think of a couple reasons as to why yourself.

We’ve detailed Sonic Origins — and it’s ridiculous cavalcade or versions — right here. Expect that title from 23 June on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
