Sega has an E3 2022 replacement announcement this week

And it might be related to a Dreamcast Mini!

Sega has detailed an E3 2022 replacement livestream that will cover a “new project” that some believe to be the Dreamcast Mini.

The pubisher made the announcement over on Twitter. When translated, the announcement reads “Urgent notice! Live broadcast to announce Sega’s new project will be delivered from 20:00 on June 3 (Friday) Appearance is [Hiroyuki Miyazaki] [Yosuke Okunari] … … Does that mean?”

The livestream will air from 9.00 pm AEST on 3 June here in Australia.

Whlie that’s obviously not much to go on, the names connected to the announcement are giving players hope of that aforementioned Dreamcast Mini. Of note, Hiroyuki Miyazaki was the project lead on the Sega Genesis Mini and Kotaku rightfully notes that Yosuke Okunari has gone on record speaking of the Dreamcast Mini in past (via Siliconera to Famitsu).

We’ll of course keep you informed as we learn more. We’ve also added this livestream to our listing of E3 2022 replacement events in Australian timings.
