Saints Row IV refused classification for a second time in Australia

The Australian Classification Board has just issued a press release saying Saints Row IV has been refused classification for a second time.

Reviewing its original decision, the Board said, “A three-member panel of the Classification Review Board has unanimously determined that the computer game Saints Row IV is classified Refused Classification.

“In the Review Board’s opinion, Saints Row IV could not be accommodated within the R 18+ classification as drug use related to incentives and rewards is not permitted.”

Full details of the recent decision can be found on the ACB’s website.

It’s obvious from the media release that the issue of “drug use related to incentives” was the reason for the decision, however the full details of the decision have not yet been made public.

This is another big blow to fans of the Saints Row series and those who were looking forward to Saints Row IV. Once we have more details on the decision we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
