Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo will reportedly unlock characters, a listing by Best Buy Canada suggests.
“Simply tap the amiibo accessory to the NFC touchpoint on your game system to unlock this Space Pirate,” a description on the Wolf amiibo listing reads.
In previous titles, characters could be unlocked through regular play — it looks like those with amiibo will be able to do this a little faster. We’ll keep you posted as functionality is confirmed.
