Mark Hamill offered the role of Vesemir in The Witcher: report

Star Wars‘ Mark Hamill has reportedly been offered a role as Geralt’s mentor Vesemir in Netflix’s The Witcher TV series. The report comes from We Got This Covered, which cites a source who has provided a look at an official production document for series itself.

Back in December last year, rumours began to swirl that Hamill had been approached to play Vesemir in Season 2 of the popular show. For his part, Hamill said that hadn’t happened.

“I still have no idea what this is or what it’s about, but I DO know they haven’t ever asked me to play Vesemir… yet,” Hamill wrote, addressing the rumours. He hasn’t made comment on the situation since.

We do know that Vesemir is the subject of an upcoming Witcher animated film titled The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

The Witcher Season 2 is planned for release in 2021; Season 1 is available now via Netflix.
