WWE Superstar John Cena is in talks to play the leading role in a Duke Nukem movie, it was recently reported.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Paramount is in talks with Cena to take the starring role, and that the film will be produced alongside Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes.
Moreover, The Hollywood Reporter asserted the film will be a “starring vehicle for Cena.”
Paramount has purchased the movie rights from the current owner of the Duke Nukem IP, Gearbox Software. Gearbox made the heroes latest video game — Duke Nukem Forever hit Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2011.
