Rocket League patch fixes quitter problem

Rocket League has taken the world by storm since its release last month with over 5 million downloads over PS4 and PC largely thanks to the PS Plus program. One issue that has plagued ranked matches in Rocket League is quitters, an issue well addressed by the 1.03 patch that arrived this weekend.

The simple but effective fix for players who quit ranked games is a 15 minute ban from further ranked play, with players who quit a game that has already had one player leave exempt from the punishment. The result was immediate, over a few hours of ranked games last night I only encountered one quitter, down from about one in three games previously.

Other changes include cross platform support for the quick chat options, better stat tracking and achievement unlock fixes and some crash bugs being eliminated. You can check out the full patch notes over at Steam.

Rocket League is available now on PS4 and PC.
